Rigs and Animations
Each embedded sketchfab model has multiple animations that can be accessed via dropdown menu on the bottom.
Zena Rig - Airstrafe Interactive
2022
Instead of building from scratch, I built off the original rig created by the previous Rigging Artist contractor, Denislav
All animations shown are done by Liz Caingcoy
This was for a boss, so there were a lot of little custom controls and additional skinning I integrated into the existing rig:
FK Controls that can stack on top of automated global controls on tail
Simple scripts for selecting all controls, resetting selected control transforms and custom attributes, as well as buttons that automate certain object visibility
IK-FK switching edits for transitions without any pole-vector errors (sets it up for matching better if that became necessary)
FK controls for ears, hat brim, bottom of jacket, and hair bangs
Bone-based Facial Rig
IK Controls for gun holsters
Eye-tracking also includes eyelid movement that follows the movement, with an attribute that lets animator control how much the lids follow the movement of the eyeballs

The main features of the rig are
IK-FK switching
Visibility toggles for different kinds of head pieces
FK Controls that can stack on top of automated global controls on tail, eye blinks, and nostril flares
Jaw Control with throat/gullet control for more control
Local Global Orient on neck
Stretchy IK spine with FK Orientation
On top of the Rig, I also worked on the texturing, and part of the sculpting for the head pieces.
Simple Crab Rig
This rig needed to have as little joints as possible while still having limb movement:
instead of having two joints for each leg, each 2-joint chain controls two sets of legs
the small pincher has no joints.
total joint count is 12
Leopard Rig - Krikey

the lids around the eyes follow the movement of the eyeballs

full custom channel movement for the feet, with heel pivot roll/rock, ball pivot roll/rock, toe pivot roll/rock, and auto options
custom ankle channel for added flexibility
Pole vectors for each leg
Automated claw retraction

paws that automatically react to an adjustable ground plane.
2018
Bird Rig - Krikey
The main features of the rig are
automated global wing spread and fold
automated global tail feather spread and curl, in addition to independent controls for more fine control.
FK Controls that can stack on top of automated global controls on wings
full IK-FK systems with switching on the legs and neck.
IK system on the neck is to replicate bird head stabilization
This rig is used across multiple bird types, both for birds of prey and songbirds
