The art team was tasked to use the main character asset we had for Yaatra and convert it into a character creation feature
I used morph targets to make some of the customization possible. These include
Body shape (players can slide between two extremes, narrow and wide)
Eyebrow thickness (same as above)
Multiple eyebrow shapes and thickness
Multiple eye shapes
One of our Unity developers, Jonny, also created a color gradient shader tool inside Unity for the artists to be able to create color palette presets for each clothing item, hairstyle, eyes, and any other customizable item that can have different color options
Morph targets are also responsible for some of the simple facial expressions on the models.
